Is the AE sensor compatible with acquisition boards from other companies like PAC or VALLEN?
Brief:AE sensor converts the displacement signal of the object surface into the analog voltage signal through the piezoelectric effect, and then amplifies the signal and transmits it to the data acquisition board through the preamplifier.
The acoustic emission sensor developed by Qingcheng Company is not only applicable to the data acquisition system of our own company, but also to most of the acoustic emission data acquisition systems in the market, such as the mainstream acquisition boards of PAC company and VALLEN's AMSY-6 multi-channel AE measurement system.
AE sensors are passive sensors using using piezoelectric effect. Technically, the AE sensor doesn’t require power to work and it converts the acoustic waves into analog voltage signals. Therefore originally AE sensor can be connected to either professional AE acquisition boards or general DAQ systems for signal conditioning and processing. But for long distance signal transmission and noise interference, the output signals from AE sensors are amplified by preamplifier to increase the noise-to-signal ratio.
